Description of Research Expertise
205 Dr. Erick Gagne holds a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Tulane University. He recently completed his post-doctoral research in Dr. Sue VandeWoude’s Lab at Colorado state University, his work there used genomic data to determine how landscape characteristics shape disease spread in wildlife. In addition, their research was investigating disease spillover -transmission of a pathogen from a reservoir host population to a novel host- between domestic animals, wildlife, and humans.8
