Description of Research Expertise

237 My research interests are broadly focused on the treatment and supportive care of children and young adults with cancer, with the goal of understanding and balancing therapeutic benefits and toxicity risks. I have a specific interest in the emerging field of cardio-oncology with a focus on earlier detection of the cardiotoxic side effects of cancer treatments, and mitigating cardiac disease as a barrier to effective cancer therapy. I also have an interest in identifying and reducing disparities in the treatment and outcomes of pediatric cancers.
