Bio statement

I am a research scholar in the Radiology department and a member of the Global Radiology Outreach and Education team at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. After obtaining my MD from the Lebanese University, I worked at the country's busiest public hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic. This experience exposed me to the challenges faced by refugees in accessing adequate healthcare and influenced my interest in global health, motivating me to work towards equitable medical access worldwide. I want to leverage my experience at CHOP and the University of Pennsylvania to advance radiology services and education through international collaborations.

Recent global health projects

1- Participated in establishing the 'Global Health Imaging Case Competitions' designed for trainees in low- and middle-income countries. These competitions offer trainees the opportunity to showcase unique radiology cases, connect with radiologists, learn about various radiology topics, and compete for prizes. More details about the competitions are available on our website: https://www.pennmedicine.org/departments-and-centers/department-of-radiology/about-penn-radiology/global-health/global-health-imaging-case-competition

2- Collaborated with the World Federation of Pediatric Imaging and Boston Children's Hospital to establish the 'WFPI/CHOP/BCH Online Pediatric Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship', designed specifically for radiologists in low- and middle-income countries. Our program offers a high-quality educational curriculum comprising live case-based learning sessions, didactic lectures, and on-site visits to the mentioned institutions.
