Bio statement
My interest in global health began as a child observing two worlds and the inequity between them. Born in India, I moved to inner city Cleveland and then suburban Wisconsin. I studied biochemistry & South Asian Studies at UW-Madison, completed medical school at Loyola Stritch in Chicago with honors in bioethics, and trained in family medicine at Northwestern with a certificate in global health. As the Global Health Fellow in Comprehensive Care in the Dept. of Family Medicine and Community Health, I will be working between Philly and Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala while completing an MPH at UPenn.
Recent global health projects
Residency:
Received a grant from the Alliance for Research in Chicagoland Communities to pilot a project to provide nature prescriptions to patients at residency-based FQHC
Medical School:
Helped develop a preliminary hospital violence intervention program framework for implementation at Loyola University Medical center
