Engineering Immune Cells Within the Body

In recently published research, CAR T cell therapy pioneer Carl June, MD, the Richard W. Vague Professor in Immunotherapy, and a team from Penn spinout company Capstan Therapeutics, showed proof-of-concept for a strategy using targeted lipid nanoparticles to induce the patient’s body to produce its own CAR T cells.
